"LOOMINGS" AMONG 12 FAVORITE VIDEOS OF '09

My live performance of the song "Loomings" has been chosen by the fine people at One Night Music as one of their 12 Favorite One Night Music Videos of 2009.

"Selected by Ryan Andersen - This is the third song from Adam Bianchi's session filmed on Valentine's Day 2009. As soon as he hit his first note a silence blanketed the room that I have not witnessed at any other session we've recorded. It was a silence nourished by pure awe at his music. Adam's music comes from an old soul, a reincarnation of an artist seasoned with decades of heartache. I still find myself at awe when I listen to Adam's music, and he very deservingly earns my pick as one of my top three songs of 2009."

Thanks Ryan!

SOLITUDE

Canyon Lake, TX - not quite the Pacific, but it will do.

"There is such a thing as creative solitude - a certain kind of loneliness out of which have risen the works of the creative spirits of the past. They were not afraid of being alone; they had learned how to use their loneliness." - Carl Sandburg

HALF WAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY..

..and I'm once again about 15 minutes from a place called Harmony Sweet. It's actually the 3rd time it's been this close to my home, but the other 2 times were in California. I had no idea they moved here when I decided to come to San Marcos, and I still find it just a bit strange. Same great owners too!

Anyway.. I will be playing there this coming Thursday, October 1st. Also sharing the bill will be friends and fellow California emigrates New Jerusalem, as well as local austin-ite Ray Prim.

Notice the B.Y.O.B. on the flyer.

"T" FOR TEXAS

I arrived in Texas about three weeks ago. My apologies for any late responses to emails, phone calls, messages, etc.. I am currently living in the town of San Marcos, just 30 miles southwest of Austin. I live in the historic district of this small college town and sometimes get deer outside around dawn and dusk. It's very green here, despite the almost complete lack of rainfall so far this year. We'll see what El NiƱo brings..

I'm still getting settled in, but I've started setting up shows and will try and hit up some open mics around town in the meantime.

"YOU MAY ALL GO TO HELL..

...AND I WILL GO TO TEXAS." - David S. Crockett

Sorry, but I had to take advantage of that quote while it's somewhat appropriate. Yeah.. so I'm moving to the Austin area to more actively participate in my music. I have been desiring a change of scenery and culture for a long time and figured a good place to start would be "The Live Music Capital of the World". I haven't actually been there to test the validity of that or any other claims, but I trust my friends who have recommended it to me for some time now.

If you happen to live in the Austin area, contact me. I will be there soon after Independence Day.
